In Abler, admins have powerful tools for communicating with members—directly through the platform. Messages can only be sent within Abler, and they appear in the Abler app for users (players, guardians, and/or staff). 

When is it best to use messages:

- Private messages to parents or guardians of participants
- Follow-up on registrations for tournaments, competitions, or matches
- Group messages to a specific group within a team or age category
- Communication with a specific team around matches
- Messages that require quick responses


You can send messages to:


  • Multiple groups at once
  • A specific group
  • A specific subgroup within a group
  • A specific service option
  • An individual member
  • An entire family (e.g. the member and their guardians)
  • A group of coaches
  • An individual coach

Note: Messages do not go out via email or SMS—they are shown only inside the Abler app.


Where Do I Send Messages multiple groups?


  • Click on Groups in the left-hand menu.
  • Use the checkboxes to select multiple groups you want to message.
  • Click on the “Other” button in the top right corner.
  • Choose “Send message” from the dropdown.



Where Do I Send a Message to a group?


  • Click on Groups in the left-hand menu.
  • Select the group you want to message.
  • Click on the “Other” button in the top right corner.
  • Choose “Send message” from the dropdown.


Where Do I Send a Message to a sub-group?


  • Click on Groups in the left-hand menu.
  • Click on the group.
  • Click on the “Other” button in the top right corner.
  • Choose “Send message” from the dropdown.


Where Do I Send a Message to those registered in a service option?


  • Click on service overview in the left-hand menu.
  • Click on the service.
  • Click on the “three dots” next to the service option on the right hand side.
  • Choose “Send message” from the dropdown.



Where Do I Send a Message to an individual member/guardian or a coach?


  • Use the search bar at the top of the screen to find the member/coach by name.
  • Once their name appears, click on the three dots (•••) next to their name
  • Choose either:
    • “Send message” to message the member
    • “Send message to family” to message the member and their connected guardians


Where Do I Send a Message to a group of coaches?


  • Click on the staff tab in the left-hand menu.
  • Click on the three dots above next to "Staff".
  • Choose “Send message” from the dropdown.



This lets you send a message that will reach all members of the selected groups in the Abler app.
