A recurring subscription service in Abler is used when you want to offer automatic, repeat billing—typically for services like monthly training fees, club memberships, or other ongoing programs. When a user subscribes, payments are automatically charged on a regular basis (e.g. every month or every 4 weeks) based on the settings you define. You can also control things like commitment periods, cancellation terms, and capacity limits.

This guide walks you through how to set up a recurring subscription in Abler’s web shop.

Step 1: Navigate to the subscription creation flow

Go toServices Overview → Create → Create Subscription Service

Step 2: Fill out the service details

Once the subscription setup window opens, fill in the following fields:

General Settings

  • Name: Monday night football – This title appears in the online shop.
  • Information: Add a description of the course.
  • Category: Select the category of service, e.g., Course.
  • Group: Monday night football – This means all who purchase the course are placed in a group called Monday night football. If you haven´t created group for that particular camp you need to do so first under groups.
  • Activity Type: If none apply, select Other.
  • Public or Private (Visible in Online Shop): Decide whether the course should be visible in the online shop or not.
  • Receiving Account: Choose the correct bank account.

Remove Members from Group When Subscription Ends (Recommended to use)

  • If selected, members are automatically removed from the sub-groups when the subscription ends.
  • If the member does not have another active subscription linked to a different sub-group, they will also be removed from the main group.
  • This setting can be adjusted in Settings.

Creating an Email Template and Survey for Purchases

You can create an email template for those who make a purchase. This allows you to send a customised confirmation email from your organisation when a customer buys a subscription. See more details here.

If you require additional information during registration, consider setting up a survey. This helps you collect important details from participants upon sign-up. See more details here.
