This guide explains how to set up a yearly membership fee in Abler. You can offer members the flexibility to pay the full amount at once or divide it into up to 10 instalments.
This setup is ideal for clubs that charge an annual fee for participation in training, matches, and other club-related activities. It ensures that all players are correctly grouped and easily managed throughout the season.

Steps to Create a Yearly Membership Fee

  1. Go to Service Overview and click Add Service.
  2. Fill out the form that appears.
  3. Set up available payment options for members (e.g. full payment or instalments).
  4. Attach the service to the appropriate group (e.g. U10), and create a sub-group (e.g. All) to manage attendance and communication.

General Settings

  • Name: U10 Membership Fee 2025 – This title will appear in the online shop.
  • Information: Describe what the membership covers, such as access to training sessions, matches, club events, and general participation throughout the season.
  • Type: Select Membership.
  • Group: U10 – All members who purchase this service will automatically be added to the U10 group.
  • Activity Type: Select the appropriate option, or choose Other if none apply.

⚠️ Remove Members from Group When Subscription Ends

We do not recommend enabling this setting for age-based groups (like U10, U12, etc.), as you will likely want to move players manually to their new group next season.
Only use this feature if the group is tied to a temporary or one-off service.

This setting can be adjusted under Settings.

Email Confirmation & Registration Survey (Optional)

  • Email Template: Create a custom confirmation email that is automatically sent after purchase.
  • Survey: Collect additional details during registration (e.g. medical info, jersey size, contact details).

Creating a Payment Option (Service Option)

Each service must have at least one option. For memberships, this is usually just a single yearly option.

  • Name: Example: U10 Full Year Membership 2025
  • Subscription Start: Date the membership becomes valid (e.g. January 1st).
  • Subscription End: Date the membership expires (e.g. December 31st).
  • Registration Opens: When registration becomes available in the shop.
  • Registration Closes: After this date, the membership will no longer be visible or purchasable.
  • Participant Limit & Waiting List: Optional, if needed.
  • Price: Enter the full membership fee.
  • Maximum Instalments: Set to 10 if you want to allow up to 10 monthly payments.
  • Status:
    • Open – visible in the shop
    • Hidden – only visible to admins
  • Sub-group: Automatically selects the ALL group and we recommend that you keep that.
