As an admin, you can now follow and oversee staff attendance across your organisation. This feature allows you to generate detailed reports showing which coaches attended which training sessions, helping you monitor engagement, ensure coverage, and support payroll or internal evaluations.
Within each group, the Head Coach has the ability to mark attendance not only for participants but also for other coaches assigned to that group. This makes it easy to keep track of which staff members were present at each session, even if the admin is not directly involved in day-to-day activities.
All attendance data can be exported or reviewed through the reporting tools, giving you a clear overview of staff participation over time.
How Staff Attendance Tracking Works
In Abler, Head coaches have special permissions within their groups that allow them to manage coach attendance at events. This means they can:
- Mark attendance of coaches as present or absent
- Add other coaches to an event if they were present but not originally assigned to it and mark them present. (Also available for the coach role)
- Remove coaches from an event if they didn’t attend or shouldn't have been assigned to that event, even if they were previously listed. (Also available for the coach role)
This gives coaches full control to ensure coach participation is accurately recorded for each session.
Note: It is also possible for a club admin to mark coach attendance for events through the admin view
Example:
If a coach was scheduled to attend a training but didn’t show up, the Head Coach can mark them as absent from that specific event. Likewise, if another coach helped run the session but wasn’t originally assigned, they can be added afterward so their attendance is logged.
All updates made by Head Coaches are saved to the event and reflected in the system.
What needs to be done to activate this for my club?
Review coaches in all groups:
Start by going through all groups within the club and make sure that the correct individuals are assigned as Head Coaches.Note: It’s perfectly fine to have more than one Head Coach assigned to the same group.
Align internal procedures:
Discuss this internally and make it part of your standard procedures – meaning that Head Coaches are responsible for marking attendance for other coaches at all events (trainings, matches, etc.).
Admin Access to Staff Attendance Reports
As a Club Admin or Division Admin, you have access to generate reports that show coach attendance across the entire organisation or within a specific division. These reports allow you to:
- View which coaches attended which events
- Monitor engagement and participation
- Export data for internal tracking, performance reviews, or payroll purposes
This gives you a complete and accurate overview of staff involvement throughout your organisation.
